A2IM Supports Net Neutrality

The FCC is in the process of formulating official policy on the subject of "Net Neutrality" and the key issue of preserving an open and transparent Internet.
The AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT MUSIC (A2IM) has submitted an official filing with the FCC in favor of Net Neutrality, arguing that it provides a fair and level playing field.
The group asserts that the adoption of net neutrality rules would help ensure that independents would continue to have fair access to this marketplace, stating, "A2IM advocates strong protection for intellectual property rights, is pleased that the draft rules apply only to lawful content, applications and services, and supports maintaining this clear distinction in the final policy. We look forward to working with Internet Service Providers to insure equal access for legal content providers."
