Music Allies Expands With Creative Allies

MUSIC ALLIES CEO SEAN O'CONNELL has announced the launch of a new company called CREATIVE ALLIES -- a consumer website that connects art students, designers and fans with musicians, festivals and businesses.
CREATIVE ALLIES (creativeallies.com) is currently in beta and has already hosted dozens of successful promotions and jobs for the likes of ANI DIFRANCO, the BIG EARS FESTIVAL and READYMADE MAGAZINE. Labels and bands are encouraged to utilize the new site as a source for artwork and as a way to promote their new releases and tours.
The ASHEVILLE-based company also recently raised a Series 1 round of financing and opened up a West Coast office in SAN FRANCISCO. In addition CREATIVE ALLIES just announced a partnership with PASTE MAGAZINE to let its members design the cover of PASTE's JUNE issue.
With the expansion, there have been hires and new titles bestowed at MUSIC ALLIES/CREATIVE ALLIES: JOANNE ZOLA has joined the company as the Dir./Sponsorship; GREGORY LUCAS has been named Dir./Business Development for CREATIVE ALLIES; JOSH RHINEHART has been promoted to Creative Dir. of CREATIVE ALLIES; TROY LEHMAN has been hired as the Lead Graphic Designer for MUSIC ALLIES; MOLLY KUMMERLE has rejoined the company to resume radio promotion for MUSIC ALLES and will oversee operations for both companies; while, CRISSA REQUATE remains Dir./Publicity, BRETT JONES remains Dir./New Media and NICK ATTAWAY remains VP/Artist Development for MUSIC ALLIES.
Finally, MUSIC ALLIES has announced the launch of the second season of "Live at Moog" -- a video performance series hosted by PASTE MAGAZINE, where bands visit and record at the legendary Moog Music Factory in ASHEVILLE, NC. Season two features AMANDA PALMER, HOCKEY, ROGUE WAVE, JOSEPH ARTHUR, UMPRHREY'S MCGEE and CAGE THE ELEPHANT. You can watch season one at liveatmoog.com.
