Minor league baseball's NEW BRITAIN ROCK CATS are returning to CBS RADIO's WTIC-FM-HD2 and WTIC.COM/HARTFORD for the 2010 season. The team will also air 20 games on Talk WTIC-A. JEFF DOOLEY will call the action for his 13th season with the EASTERN LEAGUE franchise. This year's arrangement is similar to last season's deal between the team and CBS RADIO.
ROCK CATS President and CEO BILL DOWLING said, "We are delighted to be renewing our relationship with WTIC's uniquely experienced family of broadcast professionals. Their state-of-the-art technical capacity enhances the audio quality of our broadcasts while their powerful transmitter expands the listening range for our fans. And the addition of radio icons JOE D'AMBROSIO in the booth -- and SCOTT GRAY on the field -- provides a level of baseball insight, enthusiasm and historical knowledge that is without equal."
CBS RADIO HARTFORD SVP/Market Manager SUZANNE MCDONALD added, "As live, local programming is the centerpiece of our broadcasting philosophy, we are very excited to have the ROCK CATS remain in our dynamic lineup that also includes the RED SOX and UCONN football and basketball."
