Paper Profiles KSPN's Movie-Making Mason

ESPN Sports KSPN-A (710 ESPN)/LOS ANGELES afternoon co-host STEVE MASON gets a profile in the PALM SPRINGS DESERT SUN, which focuses on MASON's latest sideline, making and showing movies.

MASON, owner of several theaters in the LOS ANGELES and PALM SPRINGS areas under the FLAGSHIP THEATERS banner, has written, produced and starred in a short film, "LITTLE DEVIL," about the life of the late conservative political strategist LEE ATWATER. He has also joined the board of a nonprofit group, "THE COLLABORATIVE," geared towards helping independent filmmakers get distribution. Still, MASON tells the paper, "I don't imagine a day when I won't have radio as part of what I do. My 'second act' will almost certainly have radio as a component."
