NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO is preparing versions of its website and iPHONE app optimized for APPLE's new iPAD tablet device. The WALL STREET JOURNAL's ALL THINGS DIGITAL reports that NPR's website will automatically detect when a user is on an iPAD and will switch to an iPAD version of the site that leaves out Flash content, which cannot be played on the iPAD.
The WALL STREET JOURNAL is among other websites that will offer at least a version of its home page optimized for the iPAD, although pages deeper into the site may carry Flash elements.
