Jimmy Wayne Teams With Red Roof Inn To Support Homeless

RED ROOF INN has teamed up with VALORY MUSIC CO. artist JIMMY WAYNE to sponsor his “Meet Me Halfway” walk from NASHVILLE to PHOENIX to raise money and awareness for homeless teens. JIMMY is currently on his way to TEXAS.
JIMMY, who has been walking around 20 miles a day, commented on his nutrition for the long hikes. JIMMY said: “I was talking to another walker who was trekking up the APPALACHIAN TRAIL, and he said something that really got me thinking. He said when you are burning so many calories every day, that you could unknowingly be starving yourself if you aren’t supplying your body with enough nutrition. And that honestly I haven’t been eating a ton of food. I’ve been drinking a couple nutrition shakes every day. I have a cup that I put protein powder in and mix with water. I drink it and keep moving along. And I store food. I keep almonds in my pocket and other snacks. I eat throughout the day. I’ll usually eat a bigger meal at the end of the day. But it’s not always completely healthy. I ate a double cheeseburger with chili on it from a roadside diner recently and it was so big you had to eat it with a knife and fork!”
