CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS spent $819,000 in fourth quarter 2009 on lobbying, according to a filing with the House clerk's office reported by BUSINESS WEEK. The figure represents an increase from the $790,000 spent in third quarter but is a decrease on a year-to-year basis from 2008's $900,000.
The company lobbied the federal government on ownership rules, digital billboards, the possible reinstitution of the "Fairness Doctrine," and indecency.
