ACM Top New Artists Special To Air April 1st On GAC

ACM “Top New Artist” nominees, EMBLEM/WARNER BROS./BIGGER PICTURE group GLORIANA, VANGUARD/SUGARHILL JOEY + RORY and CAPITOL/NASHVILLE’S LUKE BRYAN, will each perform two songs and receive their trophy on a GAC special premiering APRIL 1st at 10p (ET). BRYAN has been voted “Top New Solo Vocalist” for the ACM AWARDS and GLORIANA has been named “Top New Vocal Group.” JOEY + RORY will receive the “Top New Vocal Duo” trophy.
The special was filmed as part of a regularly scheduled TUESDAY NIGHT OPRY at NASHVILLE’s GRAND OLE OPRY HOUSE where host SHOW DOG-UNVERISAL SOUTH artist TRACE ADKINS presented each of the first-time ACM winners with their trophies.
BRYAN performed his hit “Do I” as well as his current single, “Rain Is A Good Thing” and GLORIANA performed “Wild At Heart” and their current single “The World It Ours Tonight.” single “Wild At Heart” JOEY + RORY sang “That’s Important to Me” and “My ‘Ol Man” for the taping.
The three winners are now up for the overall ACM “Top New Artist” award which will be given out on the 45th Annual ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS on APRIL 18th live from the MGM GRAND GARDEN ARENA in LAS VEGAS on CBS-TV. Voting for the “Top New Artist” category will open at www.VoteACM.com on APRIL 1st and go through APRIL 18th at 8p (ET).
