TOM JOYNER, host of the nationally syndicated TOM JOYNER MORNING SHOW, has partnered with the U.S. CENSUS BUREAU to raise awareness about the need for African-Americans to co-operate and return their CENSUS forms. The tour will visit 14 cities, including DALLAS, HOUSTON, SHREVEPORT, BATON ROUGE, BIRMINGHAM, ATLANTA, SAVANNAH, ORLANDO, MIAMI, COLUMBIA, CHARLOTTE, RALEIGH, WASHINGTON DC and BALTIMORE over three weeks from TUESDAY MARCH 30th through FRIDAY APRIL 16th.
“I’m using my microphone and national audience to raise awareness for the 2010 CENSUS specifically to the African-American community,” said JOYNER. “Since the last CENSUS count our community has been disproportionately affected by hurricane displacement along the gulf cost and housing foreclosures across the country. My listeners need to know how important it is now more than ever that they respond to the CENSUS so our community can get the dollars they need to support them, wherever they may be.”
