TONY FADELL, credited as one of the driving forces behind the inception and development of the iPOD and iPHONE, will officially shed all ties with APPLE., reports the NY TIMES. Last year, FADELL excused himself from his role as SVP/iPOD division to take an advisory role,
FADELL initially brought his concept of a hard-drive-based digital music player to REAL NETWORKS in the 1990s, but due to friction between him and CEO ROB GLASER, he left after six weeks and was hired by APPLE in 2001.
The rest, as they say, is history.
FADELL told the TIMES that he plans to work with consumer green-tech companies to help the environment.
