COX RADIO Talk KRMG-A-F/TULSA raised over $70,000 in just four hours for the JEREMIAH MITCHELL Support Trust Fund, benefiting one of seven students who contracted bacterial meningitis at a school in OOLAGAH, OK in MARCH. MITCHELL, 6 years old, had to have his arms and legs amputated and is having extensive reconstructive surgery on his face in order to survive. F&M Bank and members of the FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE joined KRMG in the fundraising effort.
"KRMG has traditionally only done on-air fundraisers for charitable organizations and not individuals," said morning host JOE KELLEY, "but, in the case of JEREMIAH, we gladly made an exception. As they always do, the people of TULSA and all of GREEN COUNTRY stepped up to meet the challenge."
