SAN DIEGO-based radio group LOCAL MEDIA OF AMERICA has named former SAGA COMMUNICATIONS and LIVE SPORTS RADIO, LLC CFO NORMAN MCKEE as CFO, reporting to the company's CEO JOHN LYNCH.
"I am very pleased to have NORM MCKEE join LMA as CFO," said LYNCH. "As we build LMA into a major player in the local media business, NORM's extensive background in corporate finance and merger and acquisition negotiation and execution, coupled with his hands-on experience in the broadcast and entertainment industries, make him a critical asset to LMA. NORM and I will be shoulder to shoulder as we build LOCAL MEDIA OF AMERICA with the support of THOMA BRAVO."
"This is an exciting time in the radio broadcasting industry and I look forward to being a part of LOCAL MEDIA OF AMERICA," said MCKEE. "The combination of JOHN LYNCH and his LMA team, along with the resources provided by THOMA BRAVO, provides an exceptional foundation on which to build a leading media company."
LOCAL MEDIA OF AMERICA, a partnership between KYNCH and THOMA BRAVO, bought the programming rights to TIJUANA-based SAN DIEGO stations Urban AC XHRM (MAGIC 92.5), Alternative XETRA-F (91X), and Top 40/Rhythmic XHTZ (Z-90); LYNCH's own BROADCAST COMPANY OF THE AMERICAS operates Sports XEPRS-A (XX1090), Talk-Brokered XEPE-A (SAN DIEGO 1700) and Classic Hits XHPRS-F (THE WALRUS).
