In its recently released 2010 U.S. Local Media Annual Forecast (2009-2014), BIA/KELSEY forecast local advertising revenues for television and radio to grow at a 2.8% compound annual growth rate through 2014, compared with a 17.8% CAGR for digital media during the same period. The continuing shift toward digital media serves as the backdrop for BIA/KELSEY's upcoming Digital Strategies for Broadcasting 2010 conference, which takes place MAY 17th-19th at the HYATT REGENCY ON THE HUDSON, JERSEY CITY, NJ, across the river from MANHATTAN.
The rules may have changed in the local broadcast business, as audiences and advertisers have shifted dramatically toward greater use of digital, social and mobile media platforms.
