LEIGHTON BROADCASTING Talk KNOX-A/GRAND FORKS, ND midday host DAKOTA HUSEBY has exited the station. The GRAND FORKS HERALD reports that HUSEBY was let go after last FRIDAY's show.
"All I know is I was let go on FRIDAY," HUSEBY told the HERALD. "I am exploring my options for the future." DENNY JOHNSON and KERRI FREES now air noon-2p to fill HUSEBY's slot.
"We all kind of agreed that maybe there was a spot for DENNY and KERRI from noon to 2. That left us with one extra body ... so we had to make a decision there ... We just felt there was a need for a show like that, kind of a soft place to land," said GM JEFF HOBERG. "To give listeners a little break from political news and the spirited talk kind of thing." HUSEBY said that HOBERG and OM JARROD "JT" THOMAS were working with consultant JOHN LUND.
