Former CEO of the COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA), TAMMY GENOVESE, has been tapped to run a new TV network that will be dedicated to Country music. The company, TCN (The Country Network), is slated to be opening NASHVILLE offices next week, and has plans to roll-out nationally during the CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL, beginning JUNE 10th.
In this new position, GENOVESE will be reporting directly to the executive committee and she will be responsible for all non-broadcast operations and will work laterally to the president of the TCN Stations Group.
EVP of Production KIM BULLARD, Chad Brock, Programming Director CHAD BROCK, and COO WARREN HANSEN will report directly to Ms. GENOVESE.
GENOVESE replaces Co-Founder, President and COO Mr. WARREN HANSEN who stated, “In any successful enterprise it is important to surround oneself with those that are smarter than you. Ms. GENOVESE is that person and has both the acumen and experience to not only meet but exceed the corporate goals of TCN.”
The company is consolidating operations to NASHVILLE and will open the principle office at 40 Music Square West, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE 37212 on MONDAY, APRIL 19th. GENOVESE states, “Country music encompasses an immensely loyal audience. When you consider the multiple cable channels and numerous highly successful festivals devoted to country music, not to mention the growing number of tech savvy fans of country radio, which, by the way, boasts more listeners than any other genre, we know we’ve got a captive audience eager for a new way to connect and engage with new and existing artists. And that’s exactly what we’re going to do with TCN."
