FAITH COMMUNICATIONS Contemporary Christian SOS RADIO NETWORK/LAS VEGAS asked listeners to "LOVEWELL" and nominate friends or family in need. The "LOVEWELL" campaign is inspired by INO RECORDS band MERCYME's upcoming project entitled "THE GENEROUS MR. LOVEWELL," which aims to show God's love to others and love well.
Listener THERESA LAKES of NORTH LAS VEGAS nominated her mother-in-law GLENDA who lost her job last FALL and has yet to find work. Her 14-year-old KIA was in desperate need of repairs. SOS partnered with local MEYER'S AUTO SERVICE CENTER in LAS VEGAS to fix everything. GLENDA was unaware that the car was being repaired and was surprised when it was returned to her by the members of MERCY ME.
"She was out in the driveway [at her son and daughter-in-law's house] waiting for her son to return with her car when the guys of MERCY ME rolled up in her KIA and surprised her. She freaked out!" said PD SCOTT HERROLD.
MEYER'S AUTO SERVICE CENTER covered all the expenses for the car repairs and MERCYME gave GLENDA $500 for her bills.
