CORUS ENTERTAINMENT has announced its Q2 financial results, with the radio segment down significantly in the three and six-month periods of 2010 vs. the same periods in 2009. For 2010, Q2 radio revs were down from C$ 57,935,000 to C$ 55,690,000. For the last half of the year vs. 2009, revs were down from C$ 133,463,000 to C$ 126,764,000.
"We believe our results in the second quarter and the pacing we are enjoying in the third quarter indicate that the advertising recession is behind us," said Pres./CEO JOHN CASSADAY. "CORUS' Specialty and Pay television categories and ONTARIO Radio sales are performing very well, and we are also benefiting from strong cost control which has allowed us to improve our margins."
