DIAL GLOBAL announced TODAY (4/14) that the syndicated “Lia Show” will be heard on the AMERICAN FORCES NETWORK effective MONDAY (4/19). She will host from 7p-10p MONDAY through SATURDAY.
The AMERICAN FORCES RADIO NETWORK (AFN) serves millions of AMERICAN service men and women and their families serving in more than 175 countries overseas, along with DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE civilians at AMERICAN EMBASSIES & CONSULATES. AFN is also heard on every U.S. ship at sea.
LIA is a 20+ year radio veteran who is currently heard on more than160 AMERICAN radio stations. With the addition of AFN’s audience, “The Lia Show” is the most-listened to daily Country program in the world.
JEF REILLY, Director of AMERICAN FORCES RADIO NETWORK said: “LIA is a huge supporter of our military heroes and is an outstanding addition to our Mainstream Country radio service. We’re delighted she’s on board to entertain and bring a slice of home to our troops serving overseas.”
LIA has been involved in many organizations that support the troops and their families, including OPERATION HOMEFRONT, ADOPT-A-SOLIDER, THE ARMED FORCES YWCA and THE USO. In 2006, LIA launched the “Military Moments” feature which focuses on people serving our country in the ARMED FORCES. Every WEDNESDAY night County stars join LIA to thank the troops and show their support. Her “Call Home” segment is a heartwarming phone call between a solider serving overseas and a family member at home.
