Talk KSEV-A/HOUSTON and KVCE-A/DALLAS programmer and host DAN PATRICK has launched a new political group, the INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS OF TEXAS, to promote conservative principles in the state and battle federal intervention in state matters.
PATRICK presently serves as a TEXAS State Senator; he has signed 57 Republican state legislators -- 14 Senators, 44 House members -- and five primary election winners as members.
"We are all proud members of the REPUBLICAN PARTY and will remain so. However, this organization provides us with accountability outside of our political party," said PATRICK. "We recognize we are first and foremost accountable to the people who elected us. We have dedicated ourselves to these core principals and have said 'this is who we are and this is how we will legislate.'"
