In February, RIHANNA, who performed on stage at the PEPSI SMASH SUPERBOWL XLIV FAN JAM in MIAMI, submitted a request for funding to PEPSI'S REFRESH PROJECT, which passes out $20 million to various causes. RIHANNA is trying to raise funds for DKMS, whose mission is to save lives by recruiting bone marrow donors for leukemia patients.
RIHANNA is personally campaigning for her fans and people around the world to join the fight against leukemia by voting for DKMS to receive the $250K grant, which will be awarded to one deserving organization at the end of the month. She will star in a public service announcement for DKMS urging people to vote for the organization.
Pepsi accepted 1,000 ideas from FEBRUARY1st thru 15th; the general public is urged to vote for their favorite online beginning APRIL1st thru 30th to determine who will receive $5K, $25K, $50K and $250K grants.
