A Portion Of Ticket Sales To Benefit 'Save The Children'

ARISTA/NASHVILLE star CARRIE UNDERWOOD will extend her PLAY ON TOUR through the end of this year, due to fan demand and high ticket sales. The tour, which is now in progress, will run through DECEMBER 19th. MERCURY/NASHVILLE’s BILLY CURRINGTON and Country group SONS OF SYLVIA will open for CARRIE on the fall leg.
Tickets for the newly-announced fall dates will go on sale SATURDAY, APRIL 24th at 10a (local time).
Concurrently, CARRIE will be donating 36 cents of every ticket sold for the fall tour dates to SAVE THE CHILDREN’s UNITED STATES PROGRAMS. The initiative was inspired by the “36 cents” reference in the lyrics of her song, “Change,” which addresses how even the smallest bit of spare change can make a difference and help “change the world.”
CARRIE will be performing “Change” on the “IDOL Gives Back” special on FOX-TV this WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21st. For more on SAVE THE CHILDREN, visit www.savethechildren.org. For more on CARRIE, including an updated tour itinerary, visit www.carrieunderwood.fm.
