SAVANNAHNOW.COM has a feature about patients batteling cancer -- and those that are helping them get around -- and one of those volunteers is CLEAR CHANNEL Urban WQBT (94.1 THE BEAT)/SAVANNAH afternooner CHASE. Writes SAVANNAHNOW, "The local chapter of THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY is spreading the word about its new 'Road to Recovery' program, which links CHATHAM COUNTY residents in need of a ride to cancer treatments with volunteer drivers.
CHASE GORE got involved as a driver earlier this year after hearing a staff member of the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY speak about the organization's Relay For Life fundraiser. "I wanted to make a difference in someone's life. I figured that's why we are here, to help each other where we can," GORE said.
