COLUMBIA/NASHVILLE artist MIRANDA LAMBERT, fresh off of her three wins at the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, will be celebrating MOTHER’S DAY on a special episode of ABC-TV’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” as a “Get On The Bus” volunteer. In this installment, airing MAY 9th at 8p (ET), she’ll travel to TULSA, OK to meet TOEN and AMY STARKWEATHER, whose 9-year-old son ETHAN suffers from a rare disorder called PRADER-WILLI syndrome.
MIRANDA will also perform her current single, “The House That Built Me,” from her latest album, “Revolution.” Her ACM Album of the Year win for “Revolution,” made MIRANDA the first solo female Country artist to ever win that particular award twice, with two consecutive albums. Her sophomore album, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” won the ACM Album of the Year in 2008.
Concurrently, MIRANDA and her mother BEV will also be featured on the cover of COUNTRY WEEKLY MOTHER’S DAY issue, on newsstands MAY 3rd. For more info, see www.mirandalambert.com.
