A record breaking 36,000 runners will lineup TOMORROW (4/24) to run either 13.1 or 26.2 miles in the “11th Annual COUNTRY MUSIC MARATHON” in NASHVILLE. The race, which finishes at LP FIELD, will go off at 7a (CT), and includes quite a few stalwarts from the music industry, who will cap off all of their dedicated training with tomorrow’s run.
Those running from the industry include BIGGER PICTURE ENTERTAINMENT promo whiz JACK CHRISTOPHER, RCA National Promo Dir. NORBERT NIX, RED LIGHT MANAGEMENT’s JERI DETWEILER COOPER and ALL ACCESS’ own KAREN GOODNER.
The “post-race’ concert features JOHN RICH, COWBOY TROY, JERROD NIEMAN and HEIDI NEWFIELD at the BRIDGESTONE ARENA at 7p (CT).
Due to the forecasted severe afternoon storms in the NASHVILLE area, the marathon may be subjected to an abbreviated timeline. The weather contingency plan is to limit the full marathon to four and half hours and under. Any runner who is behind this pace, which is 10:20 per mile, at mile 11.2 will be directed to complete the half marathon course. The timeline may change based on the actual race day weather pattern.
