Heavy rains and tornado warnings did not threaten the spirits of almost 30,000 runners in NASHVILLE over the weekend for the 11th Annual COUNTRY MUSIC MARATHON, which took place on SATURDAY, APRIL 24th. Because of the weather, race officials sent buses to pick up some of the runners who were still on the course after four hours, mainly on the ‘full’ 26.2 mile course. Many of the runners, originally intending to complete the ‘full’ marathon, were diverted to complete the ‘half’ instead.
Despite the changes, many folks from the Country music industry completed the half-marathon, including RCA RECORDS National Promo Director NORBERT NIX, who finished with an incredible 1:51:27 finish, which is good for 1,785th out of approx 25,000 runners overall! Also finishing with an impressive 2:07 finish is BIGGER PICTURE ENTERTAINMENT’s JACK CHRISTOPHER. Other finishers include ALL ACCESS’ KAREN GOODNER, RED LIGHT MANAGEMENT’s JERI DETWEILER COOPER and NINE NORTH’s STAN MARCZEWSKI. Congratulations to all!
