Update: The Point Fills The Hole In Salt Lake City
April 28, 2010 at 12:09 PM (PT)
As reported by ALL ACCESS YESTERDAY (NET NEWS 4/27), MILLCREEK BROADCASTING flipped their Classic Rock KYLZ to a Triple A station with a slight Modern AC twist they are calling 104.7 THE POINT.
According to PD KAYVON MOTIEE the station will avoid some of the artists THE END would play such as PINK, and lean more toward core Triple A artists such as JACK JOHNSON and DAVE MATTHEWS. He told ALL ACCESS, "There is a wealth of great artists that you can’t really hear in SALT LAKE CITY, and we intend to be the home for them."
MOTIEE also says they will be pretty library intensive to start and will be running jockless for now, but they do intend to add in more new music over time and add on-air talent to the mix as well. "We will be music intensive but the station will also have some personality."
MOTIEE is looking forward to hearing from the Triple A community. Reach him at (801) 412-6072, or at email@example.com. Listen to the station at 1047thepoint.com. Send product to 2935 East 3300 Sout, SALT LAKE CITY, UT 84109.
