KWOW/Waco Deal Closes; WS2K Sells Elmira Radio Cluster

WILLIAM W. MCCUTCHEN III's WACO ENTERTAINMENT GROUP, LLC has closed on the purchase of Regional Mexican KWOW (LA LEY 104.1)/CLIFTON-WACO, TX from BORDER MEDIA PARTNERS for $1.3 million.
LARRY PATRICk and GREG GUY of PATRICK COMMUNICATIONS served as brokers for the seller and TODD FOWLER of FOWLER MEDIA CONSULTING LLC served as broker for the buyer in the transaction.
WALLER SUTTON 2000's WS2K RADIO GROUP will sell six ELMIRA-CORNING, NY radio stations to VISION COMMUNICATION for an undisclosed price, reports the ELMIRA STAR-GAZETTE. VISIONS owns FOX affiliate WYDC-TV (BIG FOX) and MY NETWORK TV affiliate WJKP-LD in the market. The stations, which W2SK acquired from ROUTE 81 BROADCASTING in JULY 2008, include Talk simulcast WENY-A-WENI-A, AC simulcast WENY-F-WENI-F (MAGIC FM), Classic Hits WGMM (GEM 98.7), and Sports WCBA-A. FRANK BOYLE AND CO. and KOZACKO MEDIA SERVICES served as brokers for the deal, which has yet to be filed with the FCC.
In a deal filed with the FCC, MSBUTTONI, LLC is selling Talk WNRR-A/AUGUSTA, GA to SAVANNAH RIVER RADIO, INC. for $535,000.
In another deal filed with the FCC, Control of F & G BROADCASTING, INC., licensee of Beautiful Music WGCY/GIBSON CITY, IL, is being transferred from FRED MCCULLOUGH to his son GARY MCCULLOUGH as a gift for no compensation.
And Noncommercial WAMC/ALBANY, NY has notified the FCC that it has taken FM translator W205AJ/ONEONTA, NY off the air to prevent prohibited overlap with new noncommercial WCIJ/UNADILLA, NY.
