A politician, asked to appear on GREATER MEDIA Talk WTKK/BOSTON host MICHAEL GRAHAM's show, had an interesting response, reports the BOSTON HERALD's JESSICA HESLAM: The politician e-mailed an expletive-filled turndown to the show's producer. State Representative DAVID TORRISI (D-SANDWICH, MA) wrote an e-mail using his state account telling producer TOM SHATTUCK, "MICHAEL GRAHAM is an (expletive). He can go (expletive) himself for all I care."
TORRISI is the chairman of the Joint Committee on Higher Education and was invited on the show to talk about illegal immigration after he voted against a proposal to ban illegal immigrants from getting welfare and other benefits. GRAHAM responded, "I assume that there are plenty of people on BEACON HILL who feel the same way. I was just really taken aback to see it in print." But GRAHAM, who invited TORRISI on the show based on a similarly spirited response to a listener's question, said that he would "absolutely" still have TORRISI on the show.
