FCC Consent Decree Settles Contest Trouble For KDKA

CBS RADIO EAST INC. has agreed to a Consent Decree with the FCC settling a contest violation on Talk KDKA-A/PITTSBURGH. The problem arose when host MARTY GRIFFIN made a joke about giving away a million dollars to the thirteenth caller and a listener took it seriously and complained to the FCC.
CBS is paying $6,000 in a "voluntary contribution" to the U.S. Treasury to settle the complaint.
