Radio Disney Closes On Florida AM Sale

RADIO DISNEY has closed on the sale of silent WMNE-A/RIVIERA BEACH-WEST PALM BEACH, FL to TRAVIS MEDIA for $500,000. The station has been silent since JANUARY 22nd and previously carried RADIO DISNEY's network programming.
MEDIA SERVICES GROUP's EDDIE ESSERMAN and BILL WHITLEY served as brokers for the deal.
Outer Banks Cluster Sold
In other deals filed with the FCC, CAPSAN MEDIA, LLC is selling AAA WVOD (99.1 THE SOUND)/MANTEO, NC, Classic Hits WFMZ (CLASSIC HITS 104.9)/HERTFORD, NC, Country WYND-F/HATTERAS, NC, and Sports WZPR-A/NAGS HEAD, NC to HENGOOCH LICENSE, LLC for $200,000.
In FM translator deals, SILVER CREEK MANAGEMENT, LLC is selling K228EK/GARDEN CITY, ID to BOISE COMMUNITY RADIO PROJECT, INC. for $1; and PACIFIC CASCADE COMMUNICATIONS CORP. is swapping FM translator K271AR/COOS BAY, OR to CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC. for K260AK/KLAMATH FALLS, OR.
TELIKOJA EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTING INC. has applied for a booster signal for its noncommercial WFUZ/TUNKHANNOCK, PA at SCRANTON and CLARKS SUMMIT, PA. The booster would run 180 watts at 579 meters above sea level.
BIG D CONSULTING, INC. has asked the FCC for "10 more days or so" to keep KNAN/NANAKULI, HI off the air. The company says it will "resume operation with the licensed parameters" at that time.
