Former LOS ANGELES RAIDERS offensive tackle ED MURANSKY will serve as color analyst on YOUNGSTOWN STATE UNIVERSITY football broadcasts on PENGUIN SPORTS RADIO flagship CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WKBN-A/YOUNGSTOWN this season. MURANSKY, a YOUNGSTOWN native who played on the RAIDERS' SUPER BOWL championship team in 1983, will join play-by-play announcer BOB HANNON and sideline reporter DAVE SESS on the game broadcasts.
"ED is a quality individual and is very well respected in the MAHONING VALLEY community," said YSU Associate Director of Athletics RICK LOVE. "His vast knowledge of the game and his personality will give us a very strong broadcast team as we embark on the first year of the Coach ERIC WOLFORD era."
"We have one of the best broadcast tandems at the FCS level with the addition of ED," added CLEAR CHANNEL/YOUNGSTOWN GM BILL KELLY. "He is a sharp person who has great ties and respect in the area. He knows football extremely well and will provide great insight to the broadcasts."
"I am very excited to join BOB and DAVE as the YSU football program begins to get back to the Championship level under Coach WOLFORD," said MURANSKY. "YSU Athletics and CLEAR CHANNEL YOUNGSTOWN are two first-class operations and being associated with them is something I am looking forward to."
In addition, former YSU QB JEFF RYAN will join WKBN's "FIFTH QUARTER" post-game show while serving as color analyst for games broadcast on MY NETWORK TV affiliate WYTV-DT2 (MYYTV).
