The deal by which WALLER SUTTON 2000's WS2K RADIO GROUP is selling six ELMIRA-CORNING, NY radio stations to SOUND COMMUNICATIONS, LLC (VISION COMMUNICATIONS) has finally been filed with the FCC, revealing a $1.425 million price for the cluster. The stations, which W2SK acquired from ROUTE 81 BROADCASTING in JULY 2008, include Talk simulcast WENY-A-WENI-A, AC simulcast WENY-F-WENI-F (MAGIC FM), Classic Hits WGMM (GEM 98.7), and Sports WCBA-A. The buyer owns FOX affiliate WYDC-TV (BIG FOX) and MY NETWORK TV affiliate WJKP-LD in the market.
In another deal filed with the FCC, STUART W. EPPERSON, JR.'s TRUTH BROADCASTING CORPORATION is selling Spanish Religion WEGO-A/WINSTON-SALEM, NC to IGLESIA NUEVA VIDA OF HIGH POINT for $500,000 plus a time brokerage agreement before closing.
Meanwhile, ONE MINISTRIES, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for its FM translator K219LL/CHUALAR, CA, citing a pending move of the station to a new site once a minor modification permit is granted.
And COCHISE BROADCASTING LLC is asking the FCC to extend its silent STA for KGRK/GLENROCK, WY. The station was built and operated for one day on JULY 27th, 2009 to satisfy its construction permit; the station will have to resume by JULY 27th of this year.
