RADIOFACE, a new radio advertising company, launches TODAY (5/10) as the first-of-its-kind studio to offer clients the combination of copywriters and comedians working together to raise the creative standard of radio spots. RADIOFACE has also enlisted award-winning TV writers, actors and producers as part of the unique collective, which practices improvisational brainstorming to create breakthrough characters and dialogue for ads.
Founders TONY MENNUTO and GREGG SINGER formed RADIOFACE on the assertion that radio is an important advertising vehicle for brands and has a bright future. In fact, after a three year down turn, the $13 billion radio industry is thriving again with ad revenue expected to see a 1.5% increase in 2010, and expected growth at 2% to 4% over the next several years.
"This is a great time to breathe new life into radio advertising and push it in new directions," said MENNUTO. "We believe that if you throw a bunch of ad people in a room with the country’s best TV writers, comedians and actors, you’ll get smart, fresh ideas that will resonate with audiences across the country."
