With JIM and DIANE COURSOLLE closing on their purchase of 10 stations owned by HEARTLAND COMMUNICATIONS in WISCONSIN and MICHIGAN from GRANITE EQUITY PARTNERS, the new owners are changing formats at some of the new acquisitions.
The company's four newly-acquired AMs, Sports WNBI-A (SPORTS/TALK 980, changing calls to WPFP-A)/PARK FALLS, WI; Adult Standards WATW-A/ASHLAND, WI, Adult Standards WERL-A/EAGLE RIVER, WI, and Adult Standards WIKB-A (changing to WFER-A)/IRON RIVER, MI, will flip to Talk in JULY as "FREEDOM TALK," with a syndicated Conservative lineup.
At AC WIKB-F (99.1 THE BREEZE)/IRON RIVER, WI, the station's new format will be Country as THE BULL.
