PENFOLD COMMUNICATIONS INC. is selling noncommercial Religion KRTM/TEMECULA, CA to CALVARY CHAPEL OF COSTA MESA, INC. for $3 million. The buyer owns nearby Contemporary Christian KWVE/SAN CLEMENTE (southern ORANGE COUNTY), CA.
In another deal filed with the FCC, WAY-FM MEDIA GROUP, INC. is selling FM translator K228EU/VANCOUVER, WA to BUSTOS MEDIA HOLDINGS, LLC for $100,000, $75,000 of which constitutes a "spot-bank" of advertising (although if the parties' deal for KKHI/DENVER does not close, the $75,000 will become a cash transaction). The translator, which rebroadcasts BUSTOS Regional Mexican KGDD-A (LA GRAN D)/OREGON CITY-PORTLAND, holds a construction permit to move into PORTLAND with 99 watts at 630 feet.
RADIO ASSIST MINISTRY, INC. is selling FM translator K269FG/ODESSA, TX to FAMILY LIFE BROADCASTING, INC. for $40,000. RAM is also selling W243CE/WINDER, GA to DAVIS BROADCASTING OF ATLANTA, LLC for $70,000.
ATHENS CHRISTIAN RADIO, INC. is selling FM translator W300BF/COMMERCE, GA to WCHM RADIO, LLC. for $20,000.
The silence of WAGE-A/LEESBURG, VA continues with POTOMAC RADIO, LLC applying for an extension of the station's Silent STA from the FCC. The licensee told the FCC that it suspended operations last AUGUST 3rd and awaits local approval for its new daytime facility, saying that it "is looking forward to receiving necessary local land use approval in the coming days and then will proceed with the authorized construction efforts."
And ROSECORP TRUST has applied for a Silent STA for low-power FM KWVP-LP/WASCO, CA after losing the station's antenna site atop a water tower owned by the City of WASCO.
