THE ALLIANCE FOR WOMEN IN MEDIA FOUNDATION, formerly AMERICAN WOMEN IN RADIO AND TELEVISION, has awarded GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY student HALEY LESAVOY as the recipient of The LOREEN ARBUS Focus on Disability Scholarship.
"We are inspired by Ms. LESAVOY’s outstanding work in creating this important message," said ALLIANCE FOR WOMEN IN MEDIA Chair SYLVIA STROBEL. "Our partnership with the ATAS Foundation and the LOREEN ARBUS FOUNDATION allowed us to shed light on this significant piece of history. The 20th Anniversary of the ADA is a momentous occasion and a time of reflection to see how far we truly have come."
"I am proud to be the recipient of such a unique and noteworthy scholarship," LESAVOY said. "Through this video I was able to not only explore the impact of the ADA, but also to celebrate incredible accomplishments that some never thought possible."
The PSA is now available to view on the ALLIANCE FOR WOMEN IN MEDIA website at www.allwomeninmedia.org.
