Newsmax Planning Radio Expansion

Conservative website and magazine NEWSMAX is looking to branch out into radio with a new three-hour daily talk show to be based in NEW YORK. The company, headed by CEO CHRISTOPHER RUDDY, has brought consultant and former WABC-A and WOR-A/NEW YORK programmer JOHN MAINELLI on board and is in the process of searching for a CEO for the radio division.
RUDDY said, "We are going to tweak the business model from ad-only to integrating our website, political, health and financial offers as part of the show. The show will likely have a separate identity from NEWSMAX and be named after the host."
The CEO position requires an experienced, entrepreneurial manager with syndication and creative talent management experience. The individual, who will handle programming, production, syndication, and sales, will be traveling to cut deals and deal with syndication and needs to be able to cut through bureaucracy. The right candidate will also need to be open to NEWSMAX' conservative politics (not necessarily in agreement, but must not see it as a hurdle), and open to a new business model that includes integration of the show with NEWSMAX and advertisers. Interested parties should contact MAINELLI at email@example.com.
