The FLORIDA Attorney General's Office is investigating SIRIUS XM RADIO Inc. consumer complaints related to its automatic renewal and billing practices, reports THE SUN-SENTINEL, which writes "State officials say more than 200 complaints about SIRIUS have been received by the attorney general's citizen services offices, the FLORIDA Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, and the Better Business Bureau over several years. MIKE GALVIN, spokesman for the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU OF SOUTHEAST FLORIDA AND THE CARIBBEAN, said consumers claimed they had been automatically re-enrolled for services they did not want, or that the satellite radio provider made it difficult for them drop coverage."
SIRIUS spokesman PATRICK REILLY told the paper the company is cooperating with state investigators. "We believe our subscription renewal practices comply with all applicable laws, including the laws of the state of FLORIDA," REILLY said.
