DOUG STEPHAN's VIVA COMMUNICATIONS GROUP, LLC is selling Adult Standards WSDE-A/COBLESKILL, NY to EDWARD and ALLA HORAK's SCHOHARIE BROADCASTING, LLC for $132,800. The buyers have been operating the station under an LMA and Asset Purchase Agreement since 2007.
BROTHERS BROADCASTING CORP. has asked the FCC for a silent STA for Oldies WIBN (98 GOLD)/EARL PARK-LAFAYETTE, IN, which went off the air when its tower was toppled by a tractor clipping a guy wire on APRIL 17th (NET NEWS 4/20). The licensee said it needs more time to complete repairs to the tower.
Also applying for a silent STA was CENTRO CRISTIANO VIDA ABUNDANTE, INC., which told the FCC that it is in the process of procuring equipment to return its newly-acquired KORL-A/HONOLULU to the air. KORL went silent on SEPTEMBER 20th, 2009.
