For the second consecutive year, BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE will host the charity motorcycle event "BUBBA’s Bikes for Badges" (www.bubbasbikesforbadges.com), which will raise funds to assist the families of three FLORIDA law enforcement officers who were killed in the line of duty. The event takes place this SATURDAY, MAY 22th from 10a-2p ET at JIM’S HARLEY-DAVIDSON, 2805 54th Ave. North in ST. PETERSBURG, FL.
This year, the money will help out the families of DIXIE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE Capt. CHAD REED, ST. JOHNS COUNTY Deputy JAMES ANDERSON, JR. and FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL trooper PATRICK AMBROISE. The fundraiser will feature a motorcycle ride, a silent auction with memorabilia donated by various athletes and celebrities, a 50/50 raffle, a poker crawl with a $2,500 cash prize, a bike show, and a bikini bike wash.
"It’s really fun, and it helps support the fine men and women who protect our community while putting their lives at risk on a daily basis," BUBBA said, noting that last year's debut event raised more than $50,000 for the families of four TAMPA BAY area law enforcement members who lost their lives or were critically injured in the line of duty.
