The donations from SUNDAY night’s (05/16) “Music City Keep On Playin’ – A Benefit For Flood Relief,” held at the RYMAN AUDITORIUM and aired on GAC-TV, have reached $1.8 million. The national telethon raised money for Middle TENNESSEE flood victims, with THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE processing and distributing donations.
The televised concert included performances by KEITH URBAN, MARTINA McBRIDE, BRAD PAISLEY, SHERYL CROW, LADY ANTEBELLUM, DIERKS BENTLEY, KELLIE PICKLER, CECE WINANS, JACI VELASQUEZ and many others.
COMMUNITY FOUNDATION of MIDDLE TENNESSEE is an organization that responds in times of disaster to connect generosity with need. Grants from money raised will be made to organizations supporting relief and restoration in areas most affected by the floods. With an all-volunteer production staff, crew and talent lineup, 100% of the money raised is going to help those most affected by what has been estimated to be $1.5 billion in damages.
