Radio Drama Producer Himan Brown Dies At 99

Condolences to family and friends of Golden Age radio producer HIMAN BROWN, who died FRIDAY (6/4) at 99.
BROWN began his radio career reading poetry ("HI BROW READINGS") on WRNY-A/NEW YORK and MILT GROSS' "NIZE BABY" comics in Yiddish dialect on WEAF-A/NEW YORK and the NBC network at the age of 18, then briefly acted on shows like "THE GOLDBERGS" before moving into writing and directing radio dramas. His credits include "INNER SANCTUM," "CBS RADIO MYSTERY THEATER," "DICK TRACY," "FLASH GORDON," and many more. He later produced an "INNER SANCTUM" TV series and other shows.
BROWN was a member of the RADIO HALL OF FAME and a PEABODY AWARD winner.
