The new NEW YORK-PENN LEAGUE CONNECTICUT TIGERS will be heard on HALL COMMUNICATIONS Talk-Adult Standards WICH-A (PERSONALITY RADIO)/NORWICH, CT this season, the team's first in NORWICH after moving from ONEONTA, NY. The TIGERS are filling the void left in NORWICH by the move of the EASTERN LEAGUE's former CONNECTICUT DEFENDERS to RICHMOND after last season. Assistant GM ERIC KNIGHTON will serve as play-by-play man for home games, with former JOLIET JACKHAMMERS voice JON VERSTEEG joining KNIGHTON for home games and working road games solo. WICH will air 73 of the team's 76 regular season games plus post-season coverage.
"I can't tell you how happy we are to have WICH as our radio partner," said KNIGHTON. "It was very important to us and our fans to have the games broadcast on radio and WICH is a great home for our inaugural season."
