DESTINY MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES won its U.S. patent litigation against YANGAROO INC., as the Honorable WILLIAM C. GRIESBACH dismissed YANGAROO’s claim of patent infringement in its entirety. The company has also filed a motion to dismiss a claim for defamation in CANADA.
"We are happy to put this completely unnecessary and vexatious litigation behind us and continue to focus on growing what is already the world’s leading distribution system," DESTINY CEO STEVE VESTERGAARD said. "Because this claim was filed last year without any realistic chance of success, we plan to seek legal fees and other costs from YANGAROO."
"We are happy to realize a significant reduction in the costs of defending our customer’s ability to choose the system they quite obviously prefer." CEO FRED VANDENBERG added.
