CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO's TOTAL TRAFFIC NETWORK and INRIX have announced what they call "the first traffic broadcast to include predictive traffic information."
TOTAL TRAFFIC HD Plus offers "true traffic-influenced routing," travel times, gas prices and other information through broadcast data transmission to navigation systems, which the parties say is a "faster, better-quality and less expensive alternative to satellite-based approaches."
"INRIX traffic services are an important component of our TOTAL TRAFFIC HD PLUS system," said TOTAL TRAFFIC SVP LANCE LOCHER. "They continue to deliver complementary content, and excellent, broad road coverage."
"CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO’s TOTAL TRAFFIC HD PLUS offers a significant advancement over today’s solutions that provides the industry with a complete, cost-effective traffic solution that’s easy to integrate and helps drivers save time and commute hassle-free every day," said INRIX Pres./CEO BRYAN MISTELE.
The companies also announced an extension of their present relationship through 2015.
