'Darius & Friends' Concert Raises Over $48K For St. Jude

CAPITOL/NASHVILLE artist DARIUS RUCKER unofficially kicked off the CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL on MONDAY (6/7) with his inaugural “DARIUS & Friends” ST. JUDE benefit concert at the WILDHORSE SALOON in NASHVILLE. The event featured performances by RADNEY FOSTER, RANDY HOUSER, JAMEY JOHNSON and JAKE OWEN, with a surprise guest appearance by KID ROCK.
They raised $48,720 for ST. JUDE cancer research.
DARIUS said: “I got to perform three songs with RADNEY FOSTER--the man who inspired me to get into music! I could not have envisioned a better night. I’m so thankful to the staff at ST. JUDE, my management team at McGHEE ENTERTAINMENT, the artists, my band, and everyone that made this event such a success.”
RUCKER’s new single, “Come Back Song,” will impact Country radio on JUNE 28th. The song will appear on his upcoming album, slated to hit stores in OCTOBER. For more info, check out www.dariusrucker.com.
