GREATER MEDIA Talk WBT-A-F/CHARLOTTE host KEITH LARSON's name and voice appeared in a radio and TV campaign ad for a Congressional candidate, but the use was unauthorized, so the radio station sent a cease-and-desist letter to the campaign asking that LARSON be edited out of the spot.
CBS affiliate WBTV reports that the station asked 8th district Republican candidate TIM D'ANNUNZIO's campaign to change his ads, but only the radio spot was altered.
"The D'ANNUNZIO campaign used audio from KEITH LARSON's program without our permission," said GREATER MEDIA VP/Corporate Communication HEIDI RAPHAEL to WBTV. "We have asked them to remove it from all advertising immediately, and we expect that they will honor our request."
