Visitation for Country star JIMMY DEAN, who passed away on SUNDAY (6/13) (NET NEWS 6/14), will be held at the NELSEN FUNERAL HOME in RICHMOND, VA on SUNDAY, JUNE 20th from 12-8p (ET). A private funeral service will be held on MONDAY, JUNE 21st at 11a (ET) at GROVE AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH in RICHMOND. Interment will be private for the family at the DEAN home on CHAFFIN’S BLUFF.
According to USA TODAY, JIMMY will be laid to rest in a $350,000 piano-shaped mausoleum overlooking the JAMES RIVER, a spot he purchased years ago. Inscribed on the piano will be the phrase, "Here lies one hell of a man," inspired by the last line of his 1961 number one hit, "Big Bad John."
