CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WZZR=WCZR (REAL RADIO 94.3/101.7) and Talk WJNO-A will air MIAMI DOLPHINS football in English and sister Spanish AC WRLX (MIA 92.1) will carry the team's games in Spanish in the WEST PALM BEACH and FORT PIERCE markets under a new multi-year deal. The radio stations will sell local ad inventory in the games, while the DOLPHINS INTEGRATED MEDIA GROUP will sell network spots. CLEAR CHANNEL's Classic Rock WBGG and Sports WINZ-A are serving as the team's new flagship stations this season.
"We are thrilled to be broadening our CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS partnership to include WEST PALM, FT. PIERCE and the TREASURE COAST where we have a significant and ever growing fan base of DOLPHINS 'finatics'," said DOLPHINS CEO MIKE DEE. "This partnership not only allows us to reach more of our fans throughout PALM BEACH and the TREASURE COAST but will also serve as a great megaphone for informing our fans about our many community programs so they can join us in these important efforts."
"This is another step in our evolution to combine the right mix of media assets to execute sponsorship campaigns that activate a sponsor's message in an integrated media format," said DOLPHINS SVP of Corporate Partnerships and Integrated Media JIM RUSHTON. "It is important for us to broadcast our game day programming on AM and FM signals to reach more of our fans throughout the state, have a large promotional platform, continue our commitment to broadcast our games in Spanish throughout SOUTH FLORIDA and support our growing MiamiDolphins.com media asset."
"It was very important for us to secure a long-term agreement with one of the most preeminent sports franchises in the World. When you are presented with these types of prized opportunities, you jump at the chance to take it off the table. We're really excited to add the DOLPHINS to our roster of market dominant stations" said CLEAR CHANNEL VP JOHN HUNT.
