OYSTER RADIO, INC. is selling Classic Hits-Beach Music WOYS (OYSTER RADIO)/APALACHICOLA, FL and Country WOCY (OYSTER COUNTRY)/CARRABELLE, FL to BONNIE and KENNETH GOMES' 3G BROADCASTING, INC. for $400,000.
In other deals filed with the FCC, MUNBILLA KERRVILLE, LTD. is selling AC KRZS (THE ROSE)/HUNT-KERRVILLE, TX to TOM, RICK, AND HARLEY BROADCASTING LLC for two promissory notes in the amount of $595.000 and $75,000. MUNBILLA, through MUNBILLA BROADCASTING PARTNERS, is also selling Country KHLB (LONESTAR 102.5)/MASON, TX to the same buyers for $45,000, and the buyer is also getting a right of first offer to buy silent KYRT/MASON, TX from the seller.
And DARBY ADVERTISING, INC. is selling the construction permit for WGRL/FREDERIC, MI to DAVID L. SMITH for $5,000.
CLEAR CHANNEL has applied to move the transmitter site for Sports KDZA-A (1350 THE HOMER)/PUEBLO, CO. The company says that it is losing its present site and needs to multiplex KDZA at the site of its Talk KCSJ-A.
CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC. has applied for a silent STA to take KAWS/MARSNG, ID off the air, due to loss of power. The licensee notified the Commission on JUNE 2nd that the station was operating at 50% of licensed power since MAY 23rd, and then told the Commission that the station had lost all power on JUNE 11th. It then discovered that the station had actually been off the air since JUNE 2nd and that adverse weather had prevented access to the site.
And JAMIE PENDLETON has withdrawn his Petition to Deny the sale by CHAMPAIGN PARTNERS LLC of Top 40/Rhythmic WUIL (1079 JAMZ)/ARCOLA-CHAMPAIGN-URBANA, IL to DWS INC. for $1.4 million. PENDLETON programmed WUIL under an LMA with the seller. D.W.S. parent NEWS-GAZETTE, INC. also owns daily newspaper the NEWS-GAZETTE in CHAMPAIGN, a cross-ownership situation that the buyer said would not run afoul of FCC regulations because WUIL's 60 dBu contour does not reach CHAMPAIGN, and two other stations in the market.
